Week update and last week's achievements

Last week's achievement :

Last week we went on practising for the gala with the other classes so that they learn about the organization of the show.

We studied the sounds of the letters F (pronounced "feu") and V (pronounced "veu") and they practised writing them too

We went on doing maths in their two copy books and they are progressing well with them each student at their own rhythm.

Regarding science we spoke about how we breath, what is the use of the heart and how the blood flows everywhere in our body as well as how the food goes from the mouth to the stomach and etc ...

They also decorated a Christmas card and copied JOYEUX NOEL (Merry Christmas) on it

I also had them repeat the body parts and we played Sam says (in French 'Jacques a dit') to revise the vocabulary

This week events :

Monday : Pizza day and sport day + Bake sale

Tuesday : Normal day

Wednesday : Holiday Fair and gift exchange (for the ones who did not paid yet could you bring me back the 10 dollars as well as the authorization)

Thursday : Normal day with general rehearsal for the gala

Friday : Christmas gala. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD WILL COME WITH A BLACK TIGHT OR LEGGING AND A WHITE LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRT (ONLY THE SLEEVES NEED TO BE WHITE)

Bonne semaine

Gift exchange

Bonjour

I was told that there is a tradition at the school of a gift exchange between the children. Therefore if you could provide a little gift (10 dollars maximum) for a girl if your child is a boy and for a boy if your child is a girl that would be very nice of you. That would be great if I could have them for Monday or Tuesday (sorry for the short delay) because we are going to do the gift exchange on Wednesday, December, 17th .

At the same time the children are going to create a little gift that they will offer to one another so as to teach them also the pleasure of offering and not only the one of receiving. But you do not have to provide anything for this since we will do it in class with the material we have.

Thanks a lot for your cooperation, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question

Week's achievements

Bonjour

Here are some of our week achievements :

-French : we went on learning and revising the colours and body parts

-Science : we started to speak about how we breath and how the heart and blood are working

-Reading and writing : We revised the vowels and did exercise to discriminate the letters we learnt the week before (P, B, T, D)

-Maths : we went on working on the two maths workbooks on counting and selecting and also ordering the numbers. The children are counting up to 40 in French more and more easily and we should reach 50 before the holidays

-Art : we practised for the Christmas gala every day this week too and we did the snowman some of you were able to see on the JK board yesterday evening.

-Music : we learnt the chorus of the French version of jingle bell

Reminders : please I would be thankful if you could think about bringing me the 10 dollars for the costumes if  you didn't do it already and also the money for the Holiday fair as indicated in the following documents that I put in your children's lunch boxes

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bon weekend

Holiday casual day tomorrow

Bonjour

Since tomorrow there is the Christmas Bazaar after school it was decided this morning that the students will be allowed to wear casual clothes instead of the uniform. But there is one rule : they will need to wear Christmas related colours (green, brown, red, ect ...)
I realize it is a bit of a short notice so if they come in uniform it will be ok too

Bonne journee
